Sarraceniaceae or New World Pitcher Plants. During COVID isolation times I rediscovered the Sunken Island Bog as a place of solitude and exploration. Growing here in great numbers the carnivorous pitcher plants became the focus of my exploration. Over the course of numerous visits in spring, summer and fall, I collected numerous specimens of these plants; some live, others old and dried… skeletons of their former selves. Wearing the patina of life and death.
Organic and erotic — all at the same time.
