Originally from Manitoba, Tim Isaac has made his home on the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick where his creativity has flourished. The breathtaking beauty and wild energy of the coast drew him here in 1992 and continues to inspire his work.
Tim got his start in clay in Winnipeg, and after completing an art degree at the University of Waterloo, he set up his first studios in Kitchener and then Salem, Ontario before relocating to New Brunswick. Isaac is a prolific and accomplished Raku artist, recognized for his originality and rugged style.
In recent years he has devoted time to mentoring young artists in the art of raku firing and clay sculpture. His passion for assemblage techniques has also led him to offer mosaic workshops in schools and to the public.
His newest work integrates rough and polished stones, shells and traditional mosaic materials with his raku fired panels and vessels.
