Etidloi Adla

Sculptor

Etidloie Adla (also known as Etulu Adla) is a highly skilled carver from Kinngait (formerly Cape Dorset), Nunavut, Canada. Born into a prominent family of artists, he is best known for his dynamic, hand-carved soapstone sculptures of Arctic wildlife—especially his celebrated "dancing bears".

Born on October 28, 1982, he learned many of his foundational carving techniques from his older brother, Ashevak Adla. His grandfathers, Audla Pee and Kulai Adla, were also respected carvers who profoundly influenced him.

His pieces are characterized by fluid, stylized movements, depicting bears in playful or powerful poses.
