Barbara Lemmon

My work debuted professionally in Ottawa, ON in 1987.  It began and continues as a philanthropic effort to raise funds for wildlife and domestic animal shelters.

While visiting my husband's family home in 1987, I observed a gentler pace of life here.  Fragile health became the catalyst to relocate to the East Coast.

I work when inspired and living in the Maritimes has provided me with many great opportunities as bouts of exhilaration from the sheer beauty of its landscape wash over me.

Mixed media, tempered by environmental sensitivities dictate the choices in my palette and material.  Most recent exhibits include: Public Library, Moncton NB 2013, MacLellan Moffatt Financial Gallery, Truro, NS 2014,  The Raven Gallery, Tatamagouche, NS 2016, Paper & Such Awards - Juried Selection, Parrsboro NS & Montreal QC 2018, Published in The Golden Ratio Magazine, Moncton, NB 2016.

My favourite comment to date from a homeless man in Moncton.  “If I had walls I'd buy your art.”
